Account Executive

  • £25K Basic Salary + £4K Car Allowance.

  • Field based across the East Midlands and the East of England with daily visits and 3 months training at company premises in Loughborough, Leicestershire.

  • 39 hour week, Monday to Thursday 0830 - 1730 and Friday 0830 - 1630.

Are you a relationship builder that loves getting out to meet customers face-to-face everyday in your job role?

Your customers typically buy hydraulic hoses, pneumatic pipeline products, tools, and PPE products from you to solve problems and provide solutions. Although you don't need any previous experience or product knowledge, you must be coach-able and be interested in learning about how your customers use these products.

In your first few months you will be based at the company's Head Office in Loughborough, and working between the warehouse, stores department, and trade counter to gain understanding about your product range. After this training period, you will then buddy-up with another Account Executive for 3 - 6 months, before being allocated customers and an organised meeting schedule.

The purpose of your role is to help the company grow accounts by maximising customer spend. Your customers are wide-ranging OEM's (original equipment manufacturers) and Aftermarket suppliers (for parts etc) and the contacts you support range from MD's to Buyers, to Engineers. To be successful in this role, you will need to be a confident and credible communicator in person, in writing, and in how you respond to customer needs.  

Why is this an exciting time to join?

  • The company is introducing a new profit share scheme and annual performance bonus over the next 12 months and will be in place by the time you are trained to support customers independently in your role as field based Account Executive. Bonus values will be calculated as a percentage of your basic salary and could be up to 30%.

  • This is a field based Sales / Account Management role in technical markets where previous experience and / or qualifications ARE NOT essential requirements. The company, Managing Director, and Business Development Director all have long and successful track records of hiring and developing Trainees. The only "must have" is a full UK driving licence and your own reliable vehicle.
